The 2019 Mercedes-Benz C 300 is a great example of how Mercedes-Benz squeezed serious performance out of a relatively compact four-cylinder engine. Its 2.0-litre turbocharged M264 produces 190kW and 370Nm, enough for a claimed 0-100km/h time of around 6 seconds, while sending power through a sophisticated 9G-TRONIC nine-speed automatic to the rear wheels. Interestingly, the C 300 received a 10kW power increase over the previous version while retaining the same 370Nm of torque, giving it a particularly strong balance of performance and efficiency.
