Underneath, it uses an extruded and bonded aluminium chassis with composite body panels, helping keep weight remarkably low for a car with this level of performance. The engine itself is Toyota-sourced 2GR-FE V6, but Lotus extensively reworked it with a Harrop HTV 1320 supercharger and its own engine management, transforming an engine also found in everyday Toyota and Lexus models into a genuine performance powerhouse.
